These tours adopt a basic ‘nuts and bolts’ strategy designed to keep costs down. Generally you pay for your accommodation and we organize the motorcycling route for the tour.
Breakfast is included in per person tour cost. Lunches/cafe stops/evening meals and petrol/alcohol etc are at your expense.
Evening meals venues will be organised.
Accommodation – accommodation will be on a shared room basis unless otherwise requested. There maybe upwards of three to four folk per unit on occasions. Private rooms options available at extra cost. We favour older style motel/tourist flat style accommodation as the units themselves are generally bigger. We also use country pubs where sometimes facilities are shared.
Breakdowns – every effort that can reasonably be expected will be made to assist, but you will ultimately be responsible for your motorbike’s mechanical status. You will be responsible for repairs en route (if any) for your motorbike. Being a member of the NZ AA Assn would do no harm.
The motorcyclist must comply with all New Zealand’s traffic laws and is responsible for their fines. Their motorbike must have a current NZ registration and a valid WoF.
Insurance – the tour participant has to provide for their all own insurance requirements.
Payments;
a deposit is required to secure a tour booking, and the full balance paid one month prior to departure.
if booked within thirty days of departure, full tour payment is expected.
payment would be via pay-pal or bank transfer.
Refunds;
a full refund less 10 % if more than one month before the tour commences.
one month to tour start less 50% of full refund
tour start and before tour finishes - no refunds.
Adverse weather/Acts of God/road closures, the tour route may be altered to cater for impact, or even have riders stay put.
We reserve the right to terminate a tour (eg if participants received deems the tour unprofitable) at any time, and a full refund will be given.
Some café/lunch and accommodation stops change or cease for a variety of reasons, so we reserve the right to change the meal stop/itinerary to allow for these changes.
Private motorbike tours catering towards the participant’s requirements will happily be considered.
